Applecare question

I tripped on a stereo out wire on my ibook and snapped off a piece of the attachment in the ibook--the thing works but can it be repaired under Applecare?

    My guess is probably not. Look at you agreement, although it was an accident, they'll probably charge you to pull it out because the hardware / software isn't malfunctioning. I hope I'm wrong!

    You are not wrong--I checked at the store. They will not pay for damage. Only failure of a component. This part where the stero output plugs in is attached to the logic board which costs in excess of $600 to repace--so..........



    I'm doing nothing. Since it works--I can live with it.



    again the question how many of you have used Apple Care and found it worthwhile? If something breaks, it ususually goes in the first year in my experience.

    If is stops working you could always get an imic from griffin
