Is there any way to embed a link in a message? I'm tired of sending messages along the lines of, "You should check out this site: www.website.com," when I want to write, "You should check out this site."

    You mean in iChat?

Drag and drop the URL proxy to the chat window, or cut and paste it. It should do what you want.

I keep trying to figure out how to make it NOT do that, since a lot of my friends are on GAIM, and it interprets the text coming in as just text, no URL, so they get squat to click on.

I'm referring to Mail. Sorry, I should have been more specific.

Well if you compose your message as an HTML message, then you should be able to do what you want.

Type in the word you want. Highlight it, then ctrl click it. Select edit Link. Then enter the link. Make sure that it starts with http://

    ie http://forums.appleinsider.com

You will then be taken back to your letter and the link will be underlined and blue.
