Best osX browser
I was using ie 5.1 and omniweb 4.06 and I found both slow and not that good.
Then I downloaded Omniweb 4.1 beta which I find the best browser I ever used. It is fast, I love the favorite bar, and the 'View in a new window BEHIND this one' function.
I also tried opera and Mozilla but not enough to make me an opinion.
What do you think is the best available browser today on osX?

I like omniweb a lot but it scrolls too slow on my iBook.
This build is fast, fast, fast! for scrolling, resizing, loading...
Everybody should consider using omniweb when 4.1 is out.
Even with the sneakypeeks scrolling is slow on my ibook. It must be my rage my mobility and demanding quartz

On my iBook scrolling isn't the fastest, but it's OK.

To scroll faster in any cocoa app, hold down the option key while pressing the downarrow. That may be a little helpful.
Mozilla is the best browser and getting better.
1. Fast. The macho builds are even faster. They feel like IE on Windows.
2. Compliant. Properly render HTML4, CSS1/2 and some CSS3.
3. Image manager. Limit stupid animated gifs to once. Block images from specific servers.
4. Password Manager. It remembers all your passwords for sites like this one...configurable
5. Cookie manager. Block cookies from specific servers. Turn on notify me when setting cookies and you can accept once, accept always and deny always. Great for those stupid ad trackers.
6. Tabs. Tabs. Tabs. Can't live without em.
7. Newsreader. The best one for OSX.
8. IRC... wanna jump into irc.appleinsider.com... no problem.
9. Sheets. Dialogs use sheets when appropriate. Such as password logins, open new location, etc. Very nice.
10. Native Aqua widgets. Yes it is finally coming to Mozilla. Real aqua widgets. Real Scrollbars, real buttons, real tabs... being implemented so it is a work in progress. Does obey themes unlike IE.
11. Cool add-ons. I'm a scientist so I use the Medline database at pubmed.gov. There is a toolbar which allows you to directly search the pubmed databases right from your toolbar. See http://mozdev.org/
Things that are coming. Quartz font rendering. Yes the only reason to use Omniweb is coming to Mozilla.
Mail is pretty good too, but they don't have SSL for POP implemented so I can't use it.
Did I mention TABS. They are so cool and now that they are Aqua-fied they're even better.

and enjoy.

the OmniWeb 4.1 beta #2 is going to be out early this week. And 4.1 final is going to be done at the end of this month. OmniWeb 4.1 has squashed a lot of the bugs and shortcomings of 4.0.6. When the final comes out you IE users should donwload it and try it out. It willbe worth your time.
I use OmniWeb about %95. I only use IE for stuff that OmniWeb can not do yet.

perhaps you're opinion is influenced a bit by $
I've been running the 4.1 beta for a while now, and I absolutely love it. It is faster than IE on some pages, and sticks right with it on most. And it does so while looking 1000 times better. Great browser. If I had any money, I'd give it to the OmniGroup.
