1)if you have the scratch space, why not just create a new one
2) As a suggestion, in the future, use sparsediskimages and set the size to like 30 gigs. Then, it will grow from around 32 megs to whatever you need. You will need to run a script to compact it if you delete but even in you never shrink it, it will be better than DMG. See: http://www.macosxhints.com/article.p...&query=compact
