hey all,

i want to be able to make keyboard shortcuts so that i can pause and skip songs in iTunes from any application. i know SizzlingKeys can do this, but it only works with the application open, and my computer doesnt have the RAM to run it along side my other regular apps.

In the System Prefs/Keyboard & Mouse/Keyboard Shortcuts it appears i can make my own shortcuts, but i can't work out exactly how to make a universal one for iTunes.... how do i?

it says i need to type in the exact menu directions, but do i put spaces between them, or commas, or what?

ok, if you can help. Please do.

By using Quicksilver you can assign system-wide shortcuts called triggers. These triggers can activate scripts too. Even if I'm not in iTunes, I can pause, play, next, previous, display what track is playing, eliminate the track from my library, have itunes pause when the current song finishes, or select any song just by invoking QS with command+space and typing part of the name of the track or playlist.

Is that what you're looking for?
