A program to monitor my money?

I'd like to get my hands on an app that I could use to track the way I spend my money, for I feel like I don't know where it's going anymore.

It doesn't have to be very complicated. It should, basically, allow me to enter all the things I spend money on daily. It would be nice if I could also put each entry into some kind of category (food, drugs ...). And nice too would be the possibility to enter every receipt of salary. And then of course, some minor summary tools would be in order (eg. "how much did I spend in restaurants last week?").

I spend cash only, so fancy bank account stuff is not needed.

Does anybody know of an app that does just that?

Whenever I am in the same situationas you are I spend four hours in Excel and make a kick ass spreadsheet that can do all that, show it in multiple grafs and clean my clothes.

Then after one week I get bored and stop using it...

Well thanks, but I'd like to avoid spending too much time in Excel. I've thought of that though, but I don't want to be re-inventing the wheel. Also, I kind of think my query sounds more like a small database would be in order. I'm sure I could do something with MySQL and PHP and Safari, but that would completely defeat my purpose. Somebody must have done this before, wouldn't you say?

I've found an application called iFinance that does just what I want and not much more. Perfect. Thanks for the help anyway.
