Help with resolution on hdtv display

I got the new dual 2.3ghz powermac g5 with the 6600 graphics card, and i am using my rca 52" hdtv as my display, using dvi as the connection, and the resolution doesnt match up, either i get way small txt or the txt is fine and the top, bottom, and sides are cut off abot an in ch or so, its there any way to get custom resolutions??
