Eyetv and ipod video

Have been using the export feature in eye tv to create mpeg 4 files for the ipod video - this works fine but I would like to automate the process.

Ideally I would like the following to happen:

- use the epg in eye tv to select a programme to record - eg 6:00 am news.

- once it has finished recording, have eyetv convert the file to MPEG 4 with correct settings for ipod

- add these new files to my iTunes library

When I wake up I can then sync my ipod and watch that mornings news on the way to work (not to mention anything recorded from the previous day etc).

Anyone got any ideas about how to do this as I suspect it will be a while before video podcats of this nature are in regular circulation in the UK.

    automator workflow

    1. delay 2 hours

    2. convert file to mpeg4

    3. import items in to itunes

Thougt that automator might be the answer but how would this work in practice -

ie how do you set it up to do the conversion to MPEG4 once the programme has finished - don't understand your point 1.

    Thanks

you don't you just tell it to wait two hours after you start it.

ie: you start it two hours before the show comes on
