Opening zip, getting .exe

I'm pretty sure I know the answer to my question, but I'd like confirmation on this. I downloaded a program inside a zip labeled as OSX. When I double click on the zip, it only opens an .exe file. That's a Windows program, right?

    yeah, that's a windows program. anything .exe is meaningless/useless in the mac world.
