Is this a good buy?

Looking to buy a G5, and I found a sealed DP2.7 for £1,749.

AFAIK, this is the same model as the PCI-X model that's currently on the AppleStore for £1,949 so I'm thinking it's a bit of a catch?

I already have a 6800 Ultra DDL and 4GB of DDR SDRAM, so I'm thinking that the newer PCIe models might not be the wisest choice for me...

Yeah your card still has a lot of life left in it, and so does a dual 2.7GHz G5.

They say you know it's time to get a new computer when the average computer is 2X as fast as yours. It's your call. I think I'd probably stay with the AGP card. That's a $400.00+ card isn't it? It alone will still be an aboove average card after 2 more revs, or so.
