Calculating size of "selected" songs in iTunes
My iTunes library contains a couple of gigs over the capacity of my iPod. I fully realize that by deselecting a song, it will prevent the song from updating to my iPod.
The bottom of the iTunes window desplays how full my library is. But what I want to know is if there is a way to find out the sum of only the selected songs? For clarification, if the total amount of songs in my library equals 11 gigs and I want to update to a 10 gig iPod, I obviously need to deselect a bunch of songs. However, when I do this, iTunes still displays that I have 11 gigs in my library. Is there a preference that will allow me to know the total of only the selected songs? Am I doing something wrong or maybe I just haven't deselected enough songs to make a difference?
I'm sure this has been asked a gazillion times (now a gazillion & two) and for that, I'm sorry. I searched but couldn't find the answer.
Thanks for your help!
