I need to make a decision. Is Soundtrack Pro better than Logic Pro 7. I know there is a major price difference but do the features for Logic far surpass those of Soundtrack Pro. I might not even know what I'm talking about. I just bought a keyboard and want to record and edit music on my PowerMac. I need ambiences, sound effects, exc. Which one? Help would be greatly appreciated.

    Logic 7

STP is for audio editing and sweetening. It doesn't allow you to midi sequence new tracks.

i would get Logic Express, or even GarageBand will do the job. Logic is *really* advanced and may be over your head.

Thanks. I'll probably go with Logic Express and then see if I want to upgrade.

Yes it is amazing what GB can do. Sometimes i even don't see

the distinction to Logic Express featurewise.

Well, not really. LE is much much snappier than GB.

I think GB is the starter kit, to get the newbie on track.

    Just a hunch...
