Regarding PowerBook, what should the specs be. I need one under $2600 and be able to run Final Cut Pro. Hopefully 17" but doesn't matter. I was thinking around a gig of memory and 100GB Hard Drive @ 7200RPM. Any solutions? Thanks for any responses!
Another vote for 17" powerbook. It runs at 1.67Ghz on Tiger OS which is miles faster than an Intel Pentium 1.73 suffering from bloating and constipation with Windows inefficiency
You can always ask to upgrade it to 2GB RAM when buying it instead of just the 512MB extra
I'd like to suggest that you follow the same route as I, getting only one gigabyte of RAM but as a single gigabyte DIMM rather than two 512 MB DIMMs. This way for only about $150 you can easily upgrade your computer to 2 GB (from Crucial, which is half the price Apple charges for it to be pre-installed) or if you find the 1 GB sufficient for your needs you could invest that money into something else.

you'll need it.
