USB Microphone

Is it possible to route a USB microphone through the computer and out of the speakers? I know it can be done with a regular microphone plugged into the line in using programs like LineIn, but I'm not sure about USB mics.

The line in on my computer seems to be broken, so my only other option seems to be a USB microphone. But before I buy one, I wanted to know if this was possible. All help would be greatly appreciated.

It works fine with my USB webcam's mic, yes. It is treated just like any other mic.
