Videos onto my iPod without handbrake?

I use Windows (sadly
) and I wanted to put a bunch of AVIs I have on my hard drive onto my iPod.
How?

There are different programs available. I just did a search... check here...

Thank you - my last one caused the video simply to turn into a white screen with the letters "Demo Version"
Anyway, with this one I am slightly confused as to how to actually convert the video.
