I was just wondering, if i were to use my new 5G ipod with a new iTrip, is it correct that i would have to reply entirly on the battery of the iPod? The iTrip takes up the dock and there is no other way to charge.

Are there any solutions for this?

I am beginning to see why it was a mistake for apple to nix the remote port.

The new Griffin iTrip has a mini USB port on the bottom to allow the connection of a USB cable for charging. So you woul d have to get a USB cable with a mini to regular connector on it to plug into a power adapter.
