Headphone jack..

Okay, this will sound real silly, and I feel dumb since I can't fix it myself but, here goes.



The headphone jack on my iBook is screwed up. When I plug in headphones, audio only comes out of the left speaker. Yes, I know it's not the headphones; I used an old pair..so I tried it with newly bought ones and had the same problem.



I want to fully enjoy my iTunes again...help!!!

    System Preferences > Sound > Output > Balance > Middle.

    Good to hear your problem was software based, but it's not unheard of that solderings of the plug get broken either and that's a lot harder thing to fix.

    That's what I was afraid of! I was worried that the conductors in the jack were damaged. Thank heavens it wasn't...\
