Scheduled for today, December 1, 2005.

Just like it says on the tin, to celebrate 100 years of the big E and his group the mc², a 12 hour webcast from supercolliders, cyclotrons, accelerators and research centres worldwide.

The headline acts include:
  • Stephen Hawking,

  • Nobel laureates Leon Lederman and Murray Gell-Mann

  • and web founding father Tim Berners-Lee.

Attendees may be frisked to see if they're hiding the Higgs Boson, but otherwise it promises to be the particle physicists partay of the century, dude. Relativistically speaking.

Other topics will include grid computing to simulate experiments via distributed network processing while hunting neutrinos, and of course an interactive Q & A session with the pointy headed folk at CERN.

Science Geeks, put on your... dancing shoes ^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H uh... propellor beanies and tune in
