Hey people, I have somewhat of a dilemma here. I have an upgraded "Sawtooth" tower:

1.4 Ghz with 2MB L3 cache (PPC 7455B)

1.5 GB SD 100 RAM

80 and 127GB HD ATA 100

Ati Radeon 9800 Pro Mac Edition 128MB DDR VRAM

I am looking to purchase the Viewsonic VA1912wb, a 19inch widescreen lcd monitor with a native resolution of 1440 x 900. My main concern which could spoil this great deal is if my graphics card can't support such a resolution. Personally, I don't know why it wouldn't since it supposedly can put out a resolution of 2048 x 1536 @ 85Hz in analog mode and 1920 x 1200 @ 60Hz in DVI mode which more than covers the resolution I have. Plus the 1920 x 1200 maximum resolution through the DVI port is the same 16:10 aspect ratio of the 1440 x 900 display.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Nicholas
