Changing the power supply on a Sawtooth tower

Hey people, it's me again. I have an older G4 "Sawtooth" tower that has been upgraded to:

1.4 Ghz with 2MB L3 cache (PPC 7455B)

1.5 GB SD 100 RAM

80 and 127GB HD ATA 100

Ati Radeon 9800 Pro Mac Edition 128MB DDR VRAM

3 port USB 2.0, 2port FW 400 PCI card

and I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade my power supply from it's measly 200 something watts to another more powerful psu (say 400 watt)? The port placement and voltage look identical to many psu's on the market. Since my tower is way out of the warranty period, is there any harm in upgrading it? Anything I need to consider?

Thanks,

Nicholas

It is described in a G4 in ATX case article at xlr8yourmac

Doable but ina G4 case it might be a bit cramped to get a bigger PSU. Not that the ATX pinout is allmost identical to the G4 and that 2 wires has to be moved.
