Now there's a rumour that says the rumours (about the big Intel switch already in January) are spurious.
"Quite a number of pundits have gone out and predicted the appearance of Intel based Powerbooks from Apple this January - but it isn't going to happen. In fact what I expect is either, or both, an Intel based Mini and/or some Intel based iBooks."
.. it's really confusing.. But I'm really hoping to see a Intel PowerBook at MacWorld SF January 2006.
I've been saving up for a new Intel PowerBook for quite some time now, I've just under $3000. So I finally got the cash - but does Apple have the IPB ready? That's the big question on my mind atm.
Can anyone of you, tell me which one of these rumours, that's most likely?
looking at your hardware i don't understand why you bother about an intel powerbook... both systems are les than 3 months old.
I get your point. But the PowerBook I got now, isn't really mine .. It's my dads. I "took" it from him in begining of October, because he also got an other laptop (a lame HP). But after just 1 or 2 weeks, he wanted it back, that's when I started saving, (I had around $1500 to begin with..) So that's why I'm going to buy a new PB.
So my dilemma is, if I should wait untill a Intel comes out, or just buy it now. Some say it will arrive in mid-January and some say as late as May / June .. And I can't wait untill Juni.

I read all the threads. They all just hinted at the iMac specifically, while discussing the wider implications of the overall move to Intel.
