will there ever be a headphone remote for the 5g ipod?

it's completely insane that there is now no way of controlling the 5g ipod without taking it out of your pocket. there must surely be a dock connector (hopefully including headphone socket) remote in the works? i'm very interested in upgrading from my 15gb 3g pod to a brand spanking new 60gb video pod, but the thought of having it constantly in and out of my pocket is totally putting me off!



i'm having to do this at the moment with my 3g cos the apple remote has worn out. it's a serious pain in the rear end.



someone sort this out asap,please!!
