Need help with wireless mouse/keyboard on Mac Mini

My father finally purchased his Mini, I bought him the Iogear wireless mouse/keyboard to go with it. The keyboard is recognized by the system, however the mouse will not function. Does anyone have any experience with the Iogear hardware with the Tiger OS? Or anyone with some expertise on wireless mouse/keyboard at all?



The Iogear hardware has one single USB from the transceiver to the computer.
