how to open an excel based binary file. (need a quick response)

I need to present a paper for a class, yet somehow i submitted it as a binary file (binary excel file at that). How do I view this file? I have searched everywhere, and am in dire need of help. Thanks.

    what program are you wanting to use to view it. if it's word try changing the extension to .doc or if it's excel try .csv or .xls

    sorry if this isn't what you're looking for but i was having a hard time understanding exactly what you're wanting
