I would like to work out a way to launch streamripper at 10pm and record a internet broadcast of my favorite show until 1am.
This way I can load it onto my iPOD to listen to the next morning.
How would I do this?

It depends if streamripper is scriptable. Drop the app's icon onto Script Editor and see what it says.
If it's not scriptable, can it be set to start recording at a specific URL on launch? If so we can use iCal and a script, or use cron and crontab.
