AIM on OS X?

I thought that there was some kind of program (Adium or something like that...) that lets you have AIM on OS X. I hate running AIM in classic. Is there another alternative that will still let you communicate with other AIM and AOL members?

There are about 4 choices you have for native AIM:

Official AIM: The worst carbon port for OSX

Adium: The best third party AIM, you should get this

Fire: messenger app that has AIM and others

    Proteus: Like fire

All are cocoa except for Official AIM.

All can be found at <a href="http://www.versiontracker.com"; target="_blank">www.versiontracker.com</a>

AIM for OS X is the worst fvcking port I've ever seen in my entire life. It's freaking slower than iTunes on my 233MHz iMac and thats just sad.

Aol instant messanger is avaible for Mac OS X. All i would suggest is have a 500MHz computer or faster. AIM Sucks half of my processing power. I have a 600MHZ G3 iMac

You can use try using AIM Express. It runs in Explorer fine (I haven't tried Omniweb or iCab).

    Here's the link:
