Quad G5 Macs get high scores for performance

This article talks about the PowerMac Quad G5s "deliver(ing) never-before-seen performance, including the highest score of any computer on the CPU-intensive CineBench rendering test;"



Of course, one amusing tidbit is that "it stil[sic] under-delivers in terms of gaming performance", meaning, of course, that people that do real work can get it done faster, but gamers still have something to whine about. As long as everyone's happy.

    Well, I'm hoping that the quads CAN perform well as far as gaming goes. I ordered one a few days ago, along with the 7800 graphics card option. It *should* be a monster of a Mac. I'll get it the day after Boxing Day (yes I'm a Brit), so I'm very much looking forward to picking it up, along with Doom 3 and a couple of other fun titles I hastily ordered.



    I'm not too happy about the quad G5 comments I've seen online...but I've also got Applecare, so that takes out the gremlins at the root.
