iBook DC board frying our logic board?

Ever replace a logic board and it fry out again due to bad DC board? Just swapped a new one in and smelled something toasting when I powered up. Yanked the power to shut down [hope it wasn't too late], but I suspect the DC board is the cause. Anyone see this happen before?
