iphoto loads when imac switched on

hi there hope someone can help the guy at the genius bar at my local apple store couldnt !!!! when i switch on my g5 imac running tiger it always opens iphoto ,i have an hp photosmart 420 connected via usb powered up but not switched on,the paper door closed so no lights on its a pain to have to quit iphoto every time i switch on !!!

    Go to System Preferences > Accounts > Login Items and make sure iPhoto is not there. Also Library > Startup Items and [your account] > Library > Startup Items.



    Also, iPhoto autoloads when a camera is detected - what do you mean the camera is "powered up but not switched on"? And what is a paper door? Maybe your camera is switched on and you don't realise...

    thanks for the reply the hp photosmart 420 thats connected is a photoprinter not a camera although it has the camera dock on top,will try the settings asap thanks again.... merry xmas !!!!
