5G iPod and firewire

I have a 5G iPod and was wondering 2 things:



1. I previously has a mini and it came with a wall charger that connected to the ipod with a firewire cord. Can i use this to charge the 5G?



2. Can I only use the USB cord that came with the 5G to upload music, videos, and pictures or can I use the firewire cord that came with the mini?

    Yes. Though the 5G cannot sync through FireWire, it can still charge with it.

    No, see above. FireWire syncing is no longer implemented.
