Radeon 9200 + DP 2.5ghz G5 = Crap DVD playback
OK, like the title suggests, I have a Dual processor 2.5Ghz G5 with a 9200 card in it.
I have, in addition to the 9200, a 6800 Ultra with 2 monitors hooked up. The 6800 has two 1280x1024 displays, the Radeon 9200 has one 1024x768 display.
The only problem I have with the 9200 is that DVD playback is intermittently impossible. The menu is always low framerate and the audio chunks, sometimes the feature does the same, requiring a restart to fix it. Other media works fine, in fact I can use Video LAN client to play DVDs without problems (aside from it's not as good as DVDPlayer.app).
I've fiddled with the ATI driver settings (the retail card has its own preference pane) to no avail. This is spectacularly annoying as I play video_ts media on the 9200 for hours a day sometimes.
Any help would be much appreciated.
