'Alphabetizing' TV Shows on iPod

I got a Video iPod for Christmas and have started transferring some videos over, including some TV Shows.



To get the episodes to line up right under the name of the show, in iTunes I was adding 'Episode 001 - " before the name of the show. In iTunes, this works fine, it goes :

'Episode 001'

'Episode 002'

'Episode 003'

.....

'Episode 011'

'Episode 012'

etc.



But when I get the videos onto the iPod, it displays them as:

'Episode 001'

'Episode 011'

'Episode 012'

'Episode 002'

'Episode 003'

etc.



Is there any way I can get the iPod to simply display the shows by Episode Number or by actual alphabetical order? It's annoying me to have Episode #2-9 at the bottom of my iPod's list.

Doesn't it respect the order in which you put the videos in a playlist?

I'm not using a Custom Playlist, I used 'Lostify', a program that lets me put TV Shows into the TV Shows list on the iPod.



For example, I downloaded the free "Lazy Sunday" video and it's now in:



iPod -> Videos -> TV Shows -> Saturday Night Live -> Lazy Sunday



If you put a show on the iPod normally it would go:



iPod -> Videos -> Movies -> Episode Name



With Lostify, it goes:



iPod -> Videos -> TV Shows -> TV Show Name -> Episode Name



But the Episodes aren't listed in the same order they are in iTunes, as I've posted above. Any other ideas?

Dang it, I think I found the problem.



There's a place to put Episode #s in Lostify, and I thnk putting 2 instead of 002 is the problem.



Live and learn I guess. \



Edit: Yep, the iPod needs Episode Numbers to be in 001, 012, etc. instead of 1 and 12 to be put in the correct order.

How come you can't go into iTunes after adding the videos from Lostify and then set the track number meta data. That way the iPod would technically be listing them in episode order rather than alphabetical order.



It works exactly the same way as the Music->Albums list does. When you look at an album, it will list the songs the same way they are on the CD, rather than in alphabetical order. Videos downloaded from the iTMS have this data set already, but for other things you can add it manually.
