iChat static problem

Seeking some help...



When videochatting with one person, in particular, I get a lot of static on my end while my friend hears nothing. The static is so loud, it drowns out his voice. Doesn't happen with anyone else. Happens on a tibook and Mac mini.



Apple support forums show others who exp erience this problem, but I haven't found any fixes. Tried googling and searching this site, too.



Any tips, please?

    Perhaps the mic on your friend's computer is broken... I assume you have checked the input volume levels.

    Yeah, everything seems normal. It's the strangest thing... At first I thought it could be electrical interference, but it only happens chatting with the one person. Odd.
