Yahoo reports on talks between Disney and Pixar, which Disney might buy, making Steve the chairman of Disney.

What can we expect if this happens? An OSX powered Mickey? Is this to be announced at MWSF?

Steve Jobs bought Pixar for $10 million and now it's worth $7 BILLION? That's a healthy return on his investment!

    very first paragraph:

    Quote:

Pixar Animation Studios, creator of "The Incredibles," and The Walt Disney Co. are rumored to be on the verge of a deal -- either a new distribution pact between the longtime partners or the possible sale of Pixar to Disney.

Anyone want to guess on which it is?

At MOST, steve would be a VP in charge of animation, his company would be aquiered, it is not doing the aquiering, thus steve would not rule the Magic Kingdom...although Steve in chage of ESPN would be humorous...

"But others doubt that Jobs would be willing to sell off even part of Pixar, which he bought in 1986 from George Lucas for $10 million. "

Was it REALLY back in 1986? That seems too long ago. I thought Steve bought it in the 1990's...

Yep, it was that long ago. Back then, they were just doing short films. It wasn't until the '90's that they got mainstream attention, with the release of Toy Story.

I seriously doubt this will happen. Steve's got too much on his plate as it is.
