quicktime and hd

yeah so i have a wintel that records in high def. it saves it as a .tp file and i would like to use it with quicktime and the frontrow. because until people start writing scripts to use vlc or other things to watch videos. so in short play a .tp file in quicktime. thanks

    .tp? Maybe short for "transport", as in "MPEG Transport Stream"? But that's usually .ts.

    yeah i can change it to .tp, .tps, .ts and so on but how can i play it on quicktime and also play mpg videos if it uses mpgv

    MPEG Streamclip should be able to do what you're after and as a bonus it's free.
