Is this display any good?

Thinking about getting this monitor but im unsure about a few things...
- Will my ibook with screen spanning doctor support the 1440 x 900 resolution?
- Will I be able to play ps3 at 720p on it? It only has a vga, no dvi. I know it works for xbox 360
- Is it really any good? I mean for such a cheap price there has to be a catch!
