Open source emulator for original Half Life disks- Any chance?
With the orignal mac version being canned on the 11th hour, would it now be feasible to create an emulator of this classic for OS X which could run using the original disks?
Coming for a product design background, I have absolutely no idea what this would entail- maybe something like WINE, dunno.
Just wondered if anyone had an opinion on how possible it would be to write something that could run semi-recent/old PC classics on the Intel macs.
I love Dosbox, but I'm not sure if it could stretch to the likes of Half Life. I think the original system requirement was a 166Mhz Pentuim III's and around 32Mb ram, might be wrong.
