Hi

Does anyone know if there is an upgrade price for the above two apps or if my only option is to pay full price all over again? I bought my Mac Mini with iWork 05 and iLife 05 just 8 months ago.

Thanks and cheers

I asked the same question on another thread... so I will give you the answer someone gave me:

It would seem that as iLife is included with all new Macs, the price is the upgrade price. iWork, well... they seem to think the same is true there.

Thanks Burgermeister. If you can point me to that thread I would like to read it in its entirety.

    Some discussion is here:

My question was on this thread, two-thirds of the way down:

As this is now obviously a duplicate, the moderator may close this thread...

just 8 months ago? they update iLife every 12 months--pretty common knowledge. it's not like 2006 came out of nowhere.

Sorry IpodandImac, I am used to companies that offer a reduced or an upgrade price for people who already own an older version of their software, irrespective of how long ago they bought it. So please pardon my ignorance on things Apple.

And in this case, they do.

The assumption is that you bought your original copy when you bought your Mac. Therefore, this *IS* your upgrade price. Every Mac owner has it, so every Mac owner is getting the upgrade price.

    At least, that's the theory.

Well, Macs do not come with iWork, I bought that separately. I can understand your point re. iLife, but not iWork

I never said it was a perfect theory.
