Excited about Retail segment
What really excites me is the retail expansion of Apple. Remember when Gateway had to close down all its retail stores because of expenses? I'm sure this won't be the same for Apple.
40 new stores in fiscal 2006 is more than a 30% expansion. Most will be located in malls and places of high traffic....which means more ways for Apple to convert PC users to the Mac. I wouldn't be surprised if by 2010 Apple has stores ranging in the 1000's....very exciting time for Apple. I still remember the days when Gil Amelio was CEO and Apple's future was bleak. Man, did Jobs do a turnaround.
When people think MP3 player they think iPod. It's an icon that has defined a generation...like the VW Beetle defined the 60's.
For a lifelong Apple fanatic like myself, the future is looking very bright.

I have to agree with you, Apple have definetly got a bright future ahead of them. As a soon to be switcher to OS X I can certainly say that Apple looks to hold more benefits in the computing industry than Microsoft. In my opinion Windows Vista won't have an overwhelming success when it's released, as the majority of users are either sticking to Windows XP or switching to OS X.
Apple have certainly got the advantage right now though from a design, reliability aswell as simplicity point of view so lets hope they keep it that way for a lot, lot longer
