Front Row v 2.0?

I was looking around apple's site and i saw a pic of front row. And i thought hmm thats an interesting videos logo, i dont remember seeing it before. And then i scrolled up and there was another pic of front row and it had the logo i remembered from before, which is the iMovie logo. The DVD logo was also different, but now the question what version is this? A new one or was it their proto-type of some form, but why would that be on a brand new imac? Apple has had problems with their website leaking info in the past.

There is no doubt that Apple will be working on Front Row, just depends when they release it.



I talked with an Apple rep at CompUSA in Nov and he said that Front Row was that killer app that sold the iMac to PC users - and that he was out of stock. You can be sure that Apple is getting this type of feedback and will focus on enhancements as well as getting into all new Macs.



The question I have is when will I be able to buy it for the current Macs I have? I have iSight cameras and am Front Row ready. When will it ship for us current Mac users?

Apple Stores links don't work after a certain period of time. Anyways, there are conflicting front row images on the iMac page for instance.

we probably won't see any significant improvement to FrontRow untill Leopard and by then most new macs by Apple will have it built in. And I don't see a anything major happening with it untill it is integrated with the living room in some manor...for instance a media center by Apple.

let's just hack that damn thing and use vlc player instead of quicktime and so forth
