Epson r1800 update?

I'm planning on getting a new inkjet printer and have set my sights on the Epson r1800. I'm worried that it is close to a year old and that they are ready to release a new version soon. I thought that the CEG show might reveal some clues about upcoming releases for Epson, but no luck.



Anyone know where I might find info?

    They don't tend to update the "pro" level printers quite so often. For example, the R800, the A4/Letter version of the R1800, came out in early 2004 and is still current. I should think you'd be okay getting the R1800 for a while yet.
