I am trying to enter the kind: keyword in Spotlight, but it is ignored by Spotlight (also in Finder), it simply shows all kind of filetypes. How can I do some more advanced searching?

Thanks!

Works for me... But I have to use "type:" keyword instead of "kind:", because I use MacOSX in french.

No problems here on 10.4.4. I use "kind:image" all the time when searching my photographs.

What is the exact text you type into Spotlight and Finder because I have no problems searching for and getting pdf files.

I'm Dutch and using a dutch version of OSX.

    I tried:

    1. kind:image

    2. type:image

    3. soort:image

Without and with a name after those lines....e.g:

    kind:image tree

    not working
