fastest way to get macbook pro

Alright, so I ordered the macbook through the apple website the other day. In my confirmation e-mail it was stated that the shipping date was february 24th, and the arrival target sometime around march 3rd. I cannot wait that long.

I was wondering if 3rd party websites, such as others would deliver sooner... or if I would have more luck picking one up from my local Apple store. Thanks in advance.

If you pick it up at night and pay with a brick, then yes.

They will probably have demonstration models at the stores when they start shipping. But it is very unlikely that you can buy one to bring home.

I think you're gonna have to. You really won't be able to guarantee anything faster...other than the aforementioned brick technique.

You've waited this long. Why not longer? If it's a matter of needing a machine, buy a Powerbook.

folks already have them listed on ebay (but don't actually have them of course), so you could pay way over list to get one a few days earlier

Actually, the way they put out demonstration models is:

    a) Take a box of the new model in the first shipment.

    b) Open the box.

    c) Remove Mac.

    d) Turn it on.

The only times demonstration models don't appear until days after shipment (like iMac Core Duos) are when the new models are selling so well they don't have any extras to put out.
