Modem recommendations for a G4 sawtooth tower

I've got a G4 tower and would like to add a modem so I can fax. I saw that Apple has a USB modem for about 50 dollars. Is this the best way to go or is it better to get an internal modem or an older style external modem that sits on your desktop.

    sorry if this is a silly question, but didnt every powermac g4 have a internal modem...?

    No. It was an option, at least on my model.
