does anyone know of a fast and high-quality way to do a DVD audio extraction? I know i can do it with WireTap pro but that is a lot of time and work.

Any ideas and personal experiences would be helpful

import into iMovie and do an audio extraction?\ I'm sure you could do the same thing in FCP. Then you can drag and drop into garageband.

Since importing into a video program occurs in real time, you are looking for something to import audio in faster than real time. Is that right?

Yah. If realtime were fine, i could just run it and use Audio Hijack or something like that to get it.

Since the audio is on DVD, you will need hardware capable of reading DVD at a faster rate. The only thing that comes to mind, is a DVD dubbing machine. If they have an audio out port, perhaps that would extract the audio faster than real time., ($$$?)
