2 Questions Regarding IPFW and IPv6
I have decided that I am going to need to make 2 changes to my OS X Macs on my LAN soon. I assume both tasks can be acomplished via SSH or via ARD's "Send UNIX Command". I need to...
1) Disable IPv6 on all my Macs. Don't ask why its on in the first place.
I dont see a way using the "ifconfig" command to disable (or turn off) IPv6. Other than the GUI-based Network Pane, I havent figured out how to do it yet.
2) Disable the local Firewall on all my Macs.
I don't see a way using the "ipfw" command to disable (or turn off) the firewall. Other than the GUI-based Sharing Pane Firewall tab, I havent figured out how to do it. Maybe I am missing an option or a switch, but I dont see it.
Before I research the best way to execute these 2 tasks, I figured I would drop by 'ye ole AI Mac forums and see if anyone has any ideas or comments on the tasks mentioned above.
