PC out - Apple in
Hello everyone. I'm new (obviously) & am very excited about this MacBook Pro that I just placed an order on. I have had 11 PC laptops & all of them have been crap & had windows (latest w/ XP Pro). After visiting a nearby CompUSA & using a Powerbook for 2 hours, I am finally making the switch over to Mac.
The main thing I noticed is that the Mac just 'works.' You're not constantly fighting with or manipulating the OS to get it to do what you want. For example: downloaded a few widgets & they automatically install/open on the Mac. Good luck on a PC. You catch my drift since everyone reading this is much smarter than me b/c you're already on a Mac!
I'll post a nice size thread about anything & everything to do with this MBP... including the darn battery life that is such a mystery. I'll be detailed, too.
Any tips for a Mac newbie? Feel free to let me know... just try not to be mean!!

My only advice is...
Just play man, the work is over; ...mostly.
You're going to like this machine, bigtime. Especially once all the universal binaries have been created and the need for Rosetta lessens.
I myself am waiting for my first mac to arrive! Can't wait till it gets here!!!!!! I've been reading a lot about everything on mac the past few weeks and can't wait to say byebye to billyboywindows!
Any advice on what kind of equipment to get when picking up my macbookpro? anything like airport, bags, software, icecream?
