itunes library on extenal hard drive.

I would like to know if there is a way to take the itunes library and put into my external hard drive. I would like to do this because I don't what to use alot more space on my internal hard drive. I'm sorry if this question was asked before. Thank You.

    Go to Preferences-->Advanced-->General



    You can set the iTunes Music folder location there. I have mine set as /Music instead of in my (FileVaulted) home directory. If you have "Keep iTunes Music folder organized" checked, iTunes will even move the files to the new location for you.
