Also, IIRC, when apple did the countdown last time, when you refreshed the page, it got the number and then it used a constant rate to count down. Every 30 seconds it would re-update.
This would make sense becuase otherwise, it would overload the server.
I'm also pretty sure that last time the "special countdown feature" was limited to Safari browsers only. Anyone using Firefox/ any other browser get this functionality?
