Weird Mail issue

I clicked "rebuild" on my mailboxes in Mail.app yesterday, and now one of my emails has a dark brown oval around it. This is not the junk mail highlighting, its darker. I can't find ANYTHING about this anywhere on the internet. What does it mean?

Check the RULES in Preferences. That the only place I know of where the background color of a message listing will get changed.

Yeah, and if this doesn't work, u could reset the preferences by deleting some preferences library files.
I did this some time ago with my Entourage.
